About the motorbike ROYAL ENFIELD:-
Royal Enfield is an Indian Motorcycle manufacturing brand with the tag of "the oldest global motorcycle brand in continuous production” manufactured in factories in Chennai, India. Licensed from Royal Enfield the indigenous Indian Madras Motors, it is now a subsidiary of Eicher Motors Limited, an Indian automaker, The company makes The Royal Enfield Bullet, and other single cylinder and twin-cylinder motorcycles. First produced in 1901, Royal Enfield is the oldest motorcycle brand in the world still in production, with the Bullet model enjoying the longest motorcycle production run of all time. About the tour: The high altitude motorbike expedition starts from Delhi & then from Manali to Ladakh biking in western part of Indian Himalayas is an amazing journey of crossing five highest motorable passes of the world & at last summiting the dignified Khardungla Pass, which is the tallest in the world at the height of 18380 ft. The sparkling fresh water lakes, the beautiful barren landscape of Trans Himalaya & the cultural differences of three different valleys will touch your heart in many ways. For someone this journey is a beautiful challenge they want to pass through & for others this is the toughest route they have ever done in their life. Your journey proceeds from Manali to Rohtang Pass on first day of ride & you will be reaching to Jispa camp in Lahaul valley. This day ride will be treat to you at the beginning. You will going to have an idea of Trans Himalayas from this day ride. Later after Jispa, this journey will become challenging as you will cross Jinjingbar & summit Baralacha-La pass. Today your night will going to be at the height camp of around 12000 ft in Sarchu region. Later after this high altitude night at Sacrhu camp, you will proceed ahead & cross two major passes Nikila & Lachungla. “La” in Tibetan dialects consider as “Mountain Pass”. The other pass to cross is beautiful Tanglangla. Tanglangla is a beautiful hope, because at the other side of the pass, you will be entering in Ladakh region and this pass is a hope that you will be in green valley again, again you will be in the middle of human civilization. Later after crossing the pass you will enter in Ladakh valley, here you will observe a totally different culture, beautiful mud houses, smiley Ladakhi people & above all green patches (vegetation) which was missing from your life from last two days. Now you will be riding on the bank of one of the oldest river – Sindhu or in English “Indus”. Reaching Leh town (the major town in Ladakh region), we will enjoy hot water shower after a long time & relax at hotel. Later after day, we will summit the highest motorable pass of the world – Khardungla Pass, here our mission successful. However in every adventure sports, you will have to respect “Grand Opening” but also “Grand Closing”. Closing will be as important as opening. So, day after. We will follow the same route to ride back to Manali. And once we will reach back to the same hotel in Manali from where we started our journey, our story will be complete. And this will be the most memorable riding tour of your life, which you will going to share with your family & friends whenever there will be discussion going on about adventure, challenge, landscape & Himalayas. Motorbike Tour Programme:-
Day 01 - Arrive Delhi
Arrive Delhi and transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel in Delhi.
Day 02 - Delhi Sightseeing - Depart for Manali
Morning after breakfast, proceed to Old Delhi & experience rickshaw ride at Chandni Chowk, explore the narrow alleys & colorful markets & local shoppers. Visit the nearby "Jama mosque," which is one of the largest ancient mosque complex of Asia. Then drive past Red Fort built in the year 1648 by Shah Jehan. Visit Raj Ghat, memorial to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi.
Later in the afternoon you will be taken to New Delhi which includes Humayun's Tomb, memorial of Mughal Emperor Humayun, built in the year 1562. Further we drive past India Gate, memorial built in the year 1931 to commemorate the Indian soldiers who died in the World War I & the Afghan Wars. President's House, the official residence of the President of India, built in the year 1931, Qutub Minar.
Evening transfer to Valvo Bus Station to board on Volvo for Manali. Overnight on board.
Day 03 - Arrive Manali
Welcome on arrival in Manali in the morning. Transfer to hotel & check in. It`s a free day in Manali, you may buy gears from here if you want or can go out & explore Old Manali, The Mall, Monastery, Hidimba & Vashitha temple by your own (we have no service of transport this day). Later in the afternoon or in the evening, we will meet you at the hotel reception / conference room where we will have a briefing session on tour / route / riding manners & other subjects related to health. Also we will handover you the bike. Go for test ride. Dinner & overnight at same hotel.
Day 04 - Manali – Rohtang Pass – Jispa (138 Kms – 5 Hrs)
Today morning after breakfast at hotel, we will start our first ride to Jispa. We will cross beautiful villages of Manali & enter in high altitude zone of Rohtang Pass. The height of Rohtang pass is 13050 ft. After crossing this beautiful mystical pass, we start descending towards Lahaul valley. Here we will stop for Lunch. Later after one hour lunch break, we will start riding to our destination passing through small human settlements, beautiful villages & a major town called Keylong situated on the bank of Bagha River. Reaching Jispa, check in at camp site. Bonfire, dinner & overnight.
Day 05 - Jispa - Baralacha Pass - Sarchu (85 Kms – 3 Hrs)
Today morning after breakfast get ready to enter in trans Himalayas, our ride is going to be little tough as we cross Baralachala at the height of 16043 ft. We will stay overnight at Sarchu camp. Sarchu is barren, high altitude, cold, windy & flat landscape at the height of around 12000 feet.
Day 06 - Sarchu - Lachunga La - Tanglang La Pass - Leh (250 Kms – 7 Hrs)
This day will be long, so we will start our day bit early. Today we will be crossing three passes as Neekila Pass (15647 ft), Lachungla (16600 ft) & Tanglang La (17480 ft). We will enter in Ladakh region & reaching Leh in the evening. Check in at hotel & overnight stay.
Day 07 - Free Day in Leh
This day will be free to explore the beautiful Leh town. We advise you to walk (bike is not included on this day) & explore the ancient Leh town rather than hiring a tuk-tuk or car. Walking is good especially when you are on active holiday. We advise you to visit Leh Palace, Leh market, Shanti stupa & fine dine at Bon Appetit restaurant. You may also hire a car from Leh market to visit Shey palace and Hemis & Thiksey monastery. (Shey palace is amazing). Overnight at same hotel.
Day 08 - Leh - Khardung La pass - Nubra Valley (160 Kms – 6 Hrs)
The major day of this tour. Morning wake up & test your bike (here in Leh, we will have to leave Manali bike & take another bike of Leh). We will ride to summit our goal – the highest of all Khardungla Pass 18380 ft. Later after summiting, we will ride downwards from another face of the pass to reach Nubra Valley. On arrival in Nubra valley checking at camping site. (star gazing is my favorite here in middle of the beautiful calm night).
Day 09 - Nubra Valley – Diskit Monastery - Leh (150 Kms – 5 hrs approx)
Morning breakfast & drive to visit iconic Diskit monastery. Later following the same route we will reach Leh & check in.
Day 10 - Leh – Sarchu (260 Kms – 09 hrs approx)
Today again a long ride. We will start our tour early morning & following the same route as Leh – Karu – Tangalangla – Sarchu, we will reach back to our camp once again in Sarchu. Overnight there.
Day 11 - Sarchu - Manali (233 Kms – 7 Hrs)
Enjoy bike ride experiences today Sarchu/ Manali (222km 9hrs).It will be a long ride & we will start this day quite early. Reaching Manali, bike handover & check in at hotel. Evening certificate distribution for successfully completing this journey. Overnight stay at Manali hotel.
Day 12 - Manali - Delhi (510 Kms – Overnight)
Morning after breakfast day is free to relax. Evening transfer to Manali Bus Station to board on Volvo for Delhi. Overnight on board.
Day 13 - Delhi & Final Departure
Arrive Delhi at around 0800 or 0900 AM depending on the traffic condition. On arrival welcome back & transfer to Delhi international airport to board on flight for Onward destination.

Well maintained 500 CC Royal Enfield bike for the tour from day 04 to day 11 (with all valid bike documents) 7. All days fuel for your motorbike covering entire tour as mentioned. 8. One Indian standard helmet to each guest. (to rider as well as to pillion) 9. A back up vehicle which will carry your entire luggage throughout the riding days will follow the group from Manali – Leh – Back to Manali. 10. A bike mechanic accompanying the group (if in case any issues with bike during ride) 11. An experienced tour guide or road captain with the group (sitting in the backup car or he can also ride the bike & lead the entire group). 12. Manali Volvo Stand to Manali hotel & Manali hotel to Manali Volvo stand transfer in sharing vehicle. 13. On arrival in Delhi after tour, we will transfer you to Delhi International airport by sharing vehicle. 14. Rohtang pass permit, all other Inner-line tourist permit in Leh & all other high altitude entry passes (as per itinerary). 15. One common first aid box & oxygen cylinder putting in the backup car whenever anyone require. 16. All current applicable Indian taxes.
TOUR COST DOES NOT EXCLUDES:- 1. Bike damage during ride, any small or big spare part damage during ride, fully bike damage during ride, accident of bike & damage, engine oil charges (shall be paid on spot to our road captain during tour) 2. Any other meals, accommodation, guide service, bike service other than mention above. 3. International or any domestic flight fare, Indian visa & travel insurance. 4. Bike will not provide in free days in Manali & Leh. 5. Cost arising in case of changing the itinerary/accommodation in any condition which is not in our hand such as landslide or any other natural disaster, strike in any town, road blocked, bad weather, flight/Volvo or train delay, riders or any guests health issues/accident/damage of any of our or your property. 6. Any other items not specified in “tour cost cover” section.
Important operational points: - 1. We operate group motorbike tours & minimum strength to operate any group date is 06 paying riders (06 confirmed bikes). We reserve the right to cancel any group if the total strength will not be 12 paying riders or more. We will be able to inform you the operational situation one month (30 days) before the tour starting date. If the group will be cancel, you may choose another operational date OR we may refund you entire amount (after deducting bank transfer charges) you paid to us till the day. 2. During the booking stage of the tour, all guests are requested to fill up the risk undertaking form provided by us. Please note; it is an adventure activity in High Altitude of Himalayas where the risks of injury (minor or major), accidental injuries, high altitude sickness, any other health issues & death involves. We request all those not to participate in this tour if you have asthma, breath problem or any other major issues with health. Be reasonably fit, run & be active – start exercise before participating in the tour. 3. Before the starting the tour (in Manali during bike briefing session on day 03). Our bike tour captain / group leader team will receive INR 10000 from every bike rider as a security deposit. The same amount will be refunded to you in Manali itself at the end of the tour. 4. It is an adventure tour in high altitude Himalayan regions mainly & natural calamities can disturb the tour/itinerary or any guest or tour property any time. Please note; in that case if we will have to modify the tour itinerary before tour starting or during tour days due to natural disaster, landslide, snow, avalanche, strike or any other reason which is not in our hand, guests will have to bear the cost arising out due to those changes in tour itinerary/tour plan. 5. Our cost does not cover insurance or any risk cover of any guest. We request you to take travel insurance especially a risk cover of adventure tour/adventure activity in India. While purchasing the plan in your country or state, please specifically mention the insurance. company that “You are participating in Himalayan high altitude motorbike riding tour in India”. Just FYI…There are many risk covers which cover leisure travel & there are another type of risk covers which covers “adventure travel”, so leisure travel and adventure tour are two different things. In Adventure travel, there are great chances of injuries, loss, death, damage of any person, property & bike. So please take adventure risk cover. Also please note; though our bikes are under insurance but we will not claim it because of its re-sale value get down if we will claim it & also insurance policy rates will be increased if each time we apply for claim. So, for any major damage to the bike during ride will be chargeable to rider directly. 6. During the tour if any guests will discontinue the tour due to health issues, any major or minor injury or any urgency and he/she coming back from half way or flying from Leh, he/she has to bear all their extra cost of stays & transportation by own. There will be no refund for “unused services from our package”. Also if you are leaving your bike at any point on the way in the journey OR flying back to Delhi from Leh & leaving your bike in Leh, you will have to pay us Indian Rupees 8000. That is the cost we will pay to our Leh office boy who will drop your bike to Manali (this cost includes his 03 days stays because he will travel all the way from Leh to Manali in two days then one day he will be in Manali & next day by local bus or car he will return to Leh, his food, bike fuel & his labour to drop your bike from Leh to Manali). 7. Wearing a helmet is mandatory for both the person on bike in India. We will provide you Indian standard helmets but request you to carry your own helmet if you can. Our helmets are used by previous riders. Also you must carry safety guards such as knee guard, elbow guard, nice riding shoe & globs, gogs, riding pant & shirt/t-shirt. Apart from helmet, we will not provide any riding gears/stuff/cloths/guards or anything. 8. Manali temperature is 25 - 30 degree Celsius in day & 15 – 20 degree Celsius in night. You may wear nice cool shirt, t-shirt, shorts in day & light jacket required in night…… Jispa temperature is 20 - 25 degree Celsius in day & 10 – 15 degree Celsius in night. You may wear nice cool shirt, t-shirt, shorts in day & but heavy jacket required in night. In rainy day, Jispa is always cold……… Sarchu temperature is 10 – 15 degree Celsius in day & 05 – 0 & some time below 0 degree Celsius in night. You will have to wear heavy cloths here all the time…….. Leh temperature is like quite like Jispa in day & night but in September Leh will be 10 degree Celsius in day & 05 – 08 degree Celsius in night. You will need extra clothing because of thin & cold air. Also please carry a cap which covers your head, ears properly, it will required especially during Sarchu stay. 9. Apart from carrying riding gears which are mentioned in point number 9, you may carry rain jacket or raincoat & waterproof globes & all other water proof stuff such as shoe, cap, watch etc on safer side. Mainly from Manali to Jispa stretch, you may have to face heavy rain especially in last days of July & whole August & September. 10. Also please note; basic medicine will be there in our first aid box but we request you to carry your own medicine of personal interest. Water bottles, energy drinks, light snacks or other eatables like dry fruits, chocolate, fruit juice, candy etc you can buy from Manali market & carry it in your shoulder bag during riding. Although there are so many small restaurants (local Indian dhaba) on the way from Manali to Leh & you may keep buying the eatables, mineral water bottles etc whenever required. Lunch is not included in the package & during ride we will advise you where to stop for lunch, you may stop there at small local restaurant. Their cost is nominal (from INR 100 to INR 500 per meal depending on what you are ordering). You are requesting to pay for your lunch. 11. Health tips : Its a high altitude riding tour where breathing problem, headache, fever, stomach upset & injuries during ride kind of risks are involved. We request you to avoid smoking & taking alcohol from one month before joining the tour. Wake up in the morning & run a month before coming here. Stay fit, eat healthy & easy-to-digest meal, drink lots of fluids & stay safe. High altitude sickness/acute mountain sickness can bother anyone anytime. So being physically and mentally strong is mandatory for this tour. Diamox kind of medicine for high altitude sickness works only if you are mentally & physically strong & you starts taking this medicine before two-three days reaching to the high altitude mountain zone. Please avoid this tour if you have asthma problem, breathing or heart problem or any serious injury or issues with your body. Also below 22 years of age is not allowed for this tour. 12. Volvo timing & meeting point in Delhi will be shared with you two days before tour starting. 13. You do not need to carry sleeping bag. Each hotel & camp will provide you designated room with neat & clean blankets & other facilities as mentioned by us in above notes of this tour. 14. Provided camps are standard one. Luxury or even deluxe accommodations at Himalayan high altitude is still dream-thing. All the camps are basic one in Jispa, Sarchu & Nubra (03 places where we will stay in camps). Our camps will provide us cozy, neat & cleans and basic tents with double bedding & warm blankets. A bucket of warm water in the morning. A basic attach bathroom (very basic) with your tent. They provide good & freshly prepare Indian meals/soups/salads.
